Sync iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data including contacts with the Samsung device.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once the sync is complete, switch to the Samsung device and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and click “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of these steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your account through “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import its contents to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can use third party apps to share your iPhone contacts without requiring a computer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. Wait for the vCard file to be done and then tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email containing the vCard attachment
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. On the Samsung device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a PC.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select the desired transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
