Sync iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account and then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Samsung device.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and access “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts with” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts”
  4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. After the vCard has been downloaded, perform one of the following steps:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Samsung phone to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”. This will create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the backup file is done, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. Switch to the Samsung device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use for sharing your contacts is Send Anywhere, available on both Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a PC.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Samsung device via the Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
