Sync iPhone Contacts With Google Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and access “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Samsung device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with your account on a computer with an active Internet connection and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup”. This will create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the vCard is done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Samsung phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use for contact transfer is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select the desired transfer method and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
