Transfer Audio Files From a PC:

  1. Connect the Samsung device to the computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone either when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the audio files on the PC
  5. Copy the desired audio files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and “Notifications” directories
  6. After the transfer ends, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Transfer Audio Files From a Mac:

NOTE: Skip the first three steps above if Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
  2. Visit https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/kies
  3. Click “Download for Mac” and follow the on-screen steps to install the app on the computer
  4. Next, connect the phone to the Mac via USB
  5. Enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” on the phone either when prompted or from the Notification area
  6. Open Kies on the Mac and click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal” or “External memory”
  7. Open the File Finder on the Mac and locate the desired audio files
  8. Drag and drop the files inside Kies to begin the transfer
  9. Once done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it over the Trash Can to eject it
  10. You can safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Sound and notifications”
  3. Tap “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Sound and notifications” and tap “Notifications”
  3. Select the desired notification
  4. Press “OK”
