Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Click the iPhone in iTunes
- Go to Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded, perform one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and use Google Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to your phone and import it to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts via third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once done, send the vCard to your own address
- Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files without requiring computer access.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android phone via the Play Store
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send again
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
