Reset Network Settings:

NOTE: When you reset network settings, all saved Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections will be deleted. Additionally, data restrictive settings, network selection mode, and background sync settings will be restored to default.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “General Management”
  3. Tap “Reset” > “Reset networks”
  4. If the phone is protected by a lock screen, enter the password/PIN to proceed
  5. Tap “Reset settings”

Hard Reset

WARNING! When you hard reset your phone, all data located on the internal memory will be deleted, including ringtones and other media files, contacts, apps, downloaded content etc. However, data located on the SIM and SD storage won’t be affected.

Hard Reset via Settings:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access “Sound and Accounts”
  3. Tap “Backup and restore”
  4. Optionally, enable or disable “Restore” and “Back up my data”
  5. Go back to “Settings” and access “General management”
  6. Tap “Reset” > “Factory data reset”
  7. Tap “Reset device”
  8. In case the device is protected by a lock screen, enter your PIN/password to proceed
  9. Tap “Continue” > “Delete all”

Hard Reset via Android Recovery:

NOTE: If your phone freezes, crashes, or otherwise it’s preventing you from resetting it via Settings, alternatively you can try resetting the phone from the Android Recovery menu which can be accessed by performing the following:

  1. Turn the phone Off if necessary
  2. Next, press and hold “Volume Up” and “Home” at the same time, then press and hold “Power” as well
  3. At the android screen, release the buttons and wait for access to Android Recovery
  4. While in Recovery, press “Volume down” repeatedly to navigate the menu and highlight “Wipe data/factory reset”
  5. Press “Power” to confirm the selection
  6. Highlight “Yes – delete all user data” using the volume rocker
  7. Press “Power” to confirm
  8. Then, highlight “Reboot system now” and press “Power” one more time to confirm and reboot the device
