How-to: Samsung Galaxy A9 Star: Create and Manage Contacts, Caller Groups, and Speed Dialing

Create a Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “+” and select to store the contact on “Phone” “SIM” or to sync it with “Google”
3. Enter the contact’s phone number, name, and other optional details in the appropriate fields
4. Tap “Done”

Import/Export Contacts:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Go to “Manage contacts”
4. Tap “move contacts from phone” and select an account for syncing
5. Tap “Move” and select “Import/Export contacts”
6. Follow one of the steps below:
   
   • When importing contacts: tap “Import” > “SD Card” and select the contacts then tap “Internal storage” > “Done” > “Import” > “OK”
   • When exporting contacts: tap “Export” > “SD Card” and select the contacts, then tap “Done” > “Export” > “OK”

Add Contacts to Speed Dial:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Access “Contacts”
3. Tap “menu” > “Speed dial”
4. Select the phone number you want to link with the dial pad number

Delete Contacts:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Select the contact you want to remove
3. Tap “menu” > “Delete” > “Delete” to confirm

Create a New Caller Group:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Groups”
3. Tap “Create” and enter a name for the group
4. Optionally you can choose a group ringtone
5. Tap “Save”

Add Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap the contact you want to add to the group
3. Go to “Details”
4. Tap “Edit” > “Group” and tick the check boxes associated with the desired caller group
5. Tap “Back” > “Save”
