Clear the Phones Cache Partition:
NOTE: If your device freezes, crashes, runs out of storage inexplicably or otherwise doesnt work as intended and youre considering a factory reset, alternatively you can try fixing these issues by clearing the phones cache partition. This can have results similar to a factory reset without losing personal data from the phone storage.
- Turn the phone Off
- Press and hold Power Volume Up and the Home/Bixby button simultaneously
- At the Android log, release the keys and wait for the Recovery menu
- Once there, navigate the menu by pressing volume down repeatedly
- Highlight Wipe cache partition and press Power to select the option
- Then highlight Yes using Volume Up and press Power again
- Once done, highlight Reboot system now and press Power one last time
NOTE: if clearing the cache partition didnt solve the problems, you can check this thread for a guide on factory resetting the phone instead.

- Then press and hold Power
- At the Samsung logo, release Power and immediately press and hold Volume down instead
- Release the buttons after the phone finishes rebooting. Note that a Safe Mode watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
- To remove an app, open Settings
- Then go to Apps and select the desired app
- Tap Uninstall two times to confirm and remove the app
- After the process completes, reboot the device normally to exit Safe Mode
