Wipe the Phone’s Cache Partition:

  2. Press and hold “Power” “Home” and “Volume Up” at the same time
  3. At the Android screen, release the keys and wait access to Recovery
  4. Once in Recovery, press “volume down” repeatedly to navigate the menu and highlight “Wipe data/factory reset”
  5. Press “Power”
  6. Next highlight “Wipe cache partition” and press “Power” again
  7. Highlight “Yes” and press “Power”
  8. Once done, ensure “Reboot system now” is highlighted and press “Power” one last time

NOTE: if clearing the cache partition didn’t help, you can check this thread for instructions on how to factory reset the phone instead.

  4. Wait for the device to reboot. Once done, it should show a “Safe Mode” watermark in the lower area of the home screen
  5. To remove an app, first go to “Settings”
  6. Access “Apps”
  7. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall”
  8. To exit Safe Mode, reboot your phone as you would do normally
