Clear App Cache/Data:
NOTE: If one of your apps crashes, freezes, takes up too much storage or doesnt work as intended, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the apps cache or data.
WARNING! When you clear an apps data, all your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. This includes login and payment information, user profiles, save files, custom settings etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear only the app cache.
- Open Settings
- Go to Apps and select the desired app
- Tap Storage > Clear cache
- Tap OK
- If clearing the cache didnt solve the issue, tap Clear data (check the WARNING above)
Wipe the Phones Cache Partition:
NOTE: If your phone freezes, crashes, or otherwise doesnt work as intended and youre considering a factory reset, alternatively you can fix these issues by clearing the cache partition. This can have results similar to a factory reset without losing personal data from the device.
- Turn the phone off
- Press and hold Power Volume Up and the Bixby / Home buttons at the same time
- At the Android screen, release the keys and wait for access to Android Recovery
- Press Volume Down to navigate the menu
- Highlight Wipe cache partition and press Power to select the highlight
- Next, highlight Yes and press Power
- Finally, highlight Reboot system now and press Power to confirm
NOTE: If clearing the cache partition didnt help, you can check this thread for instructions on how to factory reset the device instead.
Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall an App:
NOTE: If one of your third-party apps causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode, where all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- If necessary, turn the phone Off
- Then press and hold Power
- At the Samsung logo, release Power and immediately press and hold Volume down instead
- Release the button once the device reboots. Once done, a Safe Mode watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
- To uninstall an app, first open Settings
- Then go to Apps and select the desired app
- Tap Uninstall two times to confirm
- Once done, reboot the device normally to exit Safe Mode

The easieat way to clear App cache/data and wipe the cache partition from Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is to use Samsung data eraser tool. This will help you erase all data from device with one-click. And there is no way to recover them after erasing.
