    I have an a800 and wanted to upload some video to the transflash card and see if it'll play thru the media player. I've seen some peole with music vids on they're phones so there's gotta be a way.

    There is, but you will have to use a upload service to get the video to your phone. The native Samsung video codec is either 3Gp or Qcp for video.
