pclink software for a970?

i just bought a970 and 512mb memory card to go with it hoping that the phone would let me use the mp3s as my ringtones. but it turns out that greedy verizon doesnt let us use mp3s or personal recordings as ringtones so i need to connect my phone with my pc and put some tunes in it. Does anyone know if a970 is compatible with bitpim or anyother data transfering software? or does anyone know a way of putting in custom ringtones into this a970?

The US versions are not compatible with the PClink software. The easiest thing to do is use an upload site to transfer your files to your phone.
