First, let me say hello. This is my first time posting. This seems like a great site, full of useful info. My problem: I just got a Samsung T309. I managed to get it unlocked (thanks to your site), but now I am unable to figure out how to get my browser going. It is, of course, a T Mobile phone, originally. I have Cingular service.
If anyone can tell me what I need to do, please do so asap. I have been working on this for hours. I have searched everywhere. I've looked all over the internet, at this site and at Howards Forums. I have been completely unsuccessful. I just want to access the web.

Thanks so much in advance for all of your help.

I'm borrowing the phone from a friend of mine who got it from T-Mobile. It's not active because he went ahead and got another phone. It's a T309 model and I've been reading that I need to unlock it to use an International SIMM card. Anyone know how to unlock it? Thanks in advance.

For utilising your browser you usually need to contact your provider to enable that function for you.

I don't want to utilize the browser. I just want to be able to use the phone to make calls from Europe to the US. I just need to know if and how I need to unlock the phone to do so. Any help would be appreciated.

When you unlock a phone it will accept a SIM fro another provider and allow voice calls. But it must be configured for web, MMS, and SMS. For cingular go here. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Cingula..._Configuration

He was referring to the original poster. If you want your phone unlocked do a google search and find a company to help you for a reasonable price. Plus your t309 only has 1800. You will be missing out on coverage without the 900 frequency. You might think about getting a different phone with both bands for Europe.

    Hi

You should easily be able to get it from the Samsung website or Samsung Fun Club sites.
