Just wondering, the MP3 player is what I'm very interested in regarding a new phone (I'm looking at the A920 from Sprint or possibly the LG the V from Verizon if I decide to switch over), so I will be listening to the MP3's quite a bit during the day. Would it be ok on the battery if I have a charger plugged into the phone the entire time I'm listening and it only comes off of the charger if I have to get up from my desk or something like that? Or will that cause my battery to wear down even faster?? And also, is it true for the new batteries out like the older ones, where if you charge them up while only halfway through the battery life, they tend to not hold a charge as long?? I can't remember if they said the newer technology took care of that so you can either let it run out fully or only let it run down halfway and re-charge and you'll still be good. Thanks!

New batteries are better than older ones for holding a charge when not completely drained. It is a good idea with any rechargable battery to drain it completely once in a while and charge it fully. I have an A900 which is notorious for poor battery performance so when i'm using the mp3 player i quite often have my phone on the charger. The battery life on my phone has gotten better, I would say at least double from when it was new. So based on that i would say its ok to leave it charging when listening to mp3's. Hasn't hurt my phone any.

Awesome, thanks for the info! Are you happy with the A900? It is originally what I was looking at, then I came across the A920 and thought that I might like it better. The main reason being that I heard the battery life was so small on the A900 and that they aren't planning on releasing an extended life battery for it. But I may go ahead and go with that instead (The 900).

I'm very happy with it. The only problems I have are service related. 10-15 songs is all it will hold. Its good for me as it holds enough to go to work and back. If you want to use it as an mp3 player, it doesn't have an expansion slot so it may not hold enough songs for you. I think the sound quality is a little better with my a900 and a friends a920. I heard they did release an extended battery for the a900 but not sure. When i first got the phone it would last about half a day but for whatever reason (breaking in?) it lasts about two days now if I don't roam. Most people wanting to use it as an mp3 player don't like the lack of the expansion slot
