samsung t-809 problem

hows it going....i just got a samsung sgh-T809 from a friend who is with t-mobile. my phone broke so i bought it from him and i am with cingular so i didnt want to spend 200 dollars on a new phone when i can unlock this one. my question is what is the easiest or best way to get this phone to unlock and recognize my sim card?
