Samsung D600 Help Please!

Hi.
I have a D600 and would like to upload some music to my phone, i have done it before with no problems.
But i try to connect the usb to the phone and computer, which is ok, but then it wont say 'connected' and i cannot transfer any files or whatever.
Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

i just got my samsung d900 and it's working fine, but i know with my old MOTOROKR, the connection was bent or something. i had to physically press the plug into the phone and hold it for a connection to be made, which made it pretty hard to do anything else. try wiggling the plug thing around or pushing it in more? perhaps its damaged.
