Hello: Anybody have any decent information regarding the C417? How is reception? Does it seem durable/dependable? Thanks.

Reception is good, about on par with the d807. Durability is good considering the size and thickness however it is not to be treated badly, i.e. if you are going to drop it make sure you get insurance its worth it. As for dependibility I have never had an issue with dropped calls with Samsungs, had the d357 and d807 and loved both. Regret giving them away. If you have any questions about specs features or anything send me a message.

I went ahead and picked up a c417 red from wirefly for $129. I have had it for just a couple of days now and really like it. I like it better than the razor I have used for the last year. My old lady likes the 417 also so I guess she will get one too this next week. Seems to be a good little phone for the money.

$129! But Cingular.com sells the phone for 80 with a fifty dollar mail in making it 30. Why'd you pay 129?

Does that price require a contract renewal?

No new contract for me $129 shipped is a steal I shopped around as always. It also came in less than 48hrs after paying I liked the fast shipping!! The Walmart here has a cell phone area which sold the c417 reds for $153(no contract) but they have been sold out for weeks. Everytime they get a batch they are gone in a day. They don't carry many good phones here so I guess everyone likes the look of the c417 and takes it with there new contract.
