So on my a900 I have GMail App and Google Maps downloaded, however whenever they retrieve information from The Internet I am presented with a warning asking me if I wanna allow it. How do I set it to always allow? The choices are only "Not this time, Allow this time, and Never allow".

Open it with notepad and edit the blanket(oneshot) entries to read Allow. Or just edit the entry so it looks like this: blanket(oneshot): midp_net. You may have to add that entire entry in the section domain: untrusted if it's not already there. You may also have to add it to other sections if it isn't there.
BTW, where are you geographically located in Canada? Are you able to use the GPS function? or do you even have the software to do so?
If you need more help you can PM me and I'll give you my email so you can add me to msn and i'll give you a walk through.

Re: Always allowing an application to access Internet
plug the phone in, open the software, go to the settings tab. set the com port to what windows has it set to for your phone (usually com2), then to to the device scroll down page, select qualcomm or samsung and click on read all. Some times it will show you on the lower right of the program that it cannot read your phones security, i've had some luck by always scrolling through one device to another and keep clicking read all, puting the phone in offline-A mode, and eventually when going back to the qualcomm and hitting read all, it will eventually show the phones security lock code.

Re: Always allowing an application to access Internet
Oops sorry, you DON"T use unicdma to copy the file over, you use Qpst to copy _policy.txt over and back again.

Re: Always allowing an application to access Internet
1. have you installed the samsung CDMA modem drivers?
2. If you've answered yes to the above, what com port is it using as shown in device manager under modems>SAMSUNG CDMA Modem>Advanced tab>Advanced port settings button>Com port number

Re: Always allowing an application to access Internet
OK I think my port is COM 3 since that's the only one in which it doesn't show an error. I can also switch modes successfully.

Re: Always allowing an application to access Internet
it's not reading your phone information? it should show all the information in the left hand side. I've noticed when I run the program that it rarely reads the code. I'm trying to find out what I do that makes it finally read it.

Re: Always allowing an application to access Internet
ok. i found the problem. When I use qpst to enter my phone's filesystem. I have to enter my unlock code, which is exactly what you are trying to find. So when I close qpst, and enter unicdma, it shows the security code... so unicdma isn't going to work to find your security code because in order to read the file that contains the security code, you need the security code in order to get permission to read that part of the file system.. wow. ok. I am going to try something else to help you.
You have a version which lets you put in a phone password. Try to put this in the password field: 01F2030F5F678FF9
I don't have that version you have so I cannot try it to see if it works. so when you put that in, click on "read all". try puting the phone in Offline A and read all again. If that doesn't work, there is another program out there that will do a way better job and is accurate.Last edited by lotacus; 02-21-2007 at 09:23 PM.
