Well, about three days ago, I bought a new Samsung A720 cellphone, and it was working just fine. I even transfered some pictures and songs from my computer, and that also worked perfectly - that is, until today.

I took the card out from my cell and uploaded a few new songs, and when I placed the Card back inside, my music player wouldn't load. It only came up with "TM-61: Sorry, the player is unavailable. Please try again. java.lang.NullPointerException"

I've tried everything I can; I took the card out and placed it back in, I reloaded my music in the card, but nothing will work. The images show up, though.

Does anyone have the same problem - or know how to fix it?

Re: Samsung A720 - SD Card Help

I can't remember the exact error message I got, but it sounds vaguely similar. When I first got the phone, I was all excited and copied some music over and it gave an error along the same lines. Eventually what I found is that the phone doesn't handle complex file names very well. I renamed the file to "moo.mp3" and it loaded and played with no problems.

I didn't play around with it much more after that, so I can't give you any more information on what works and what doesn't, but my suggestion is to try a test with one song, rename it and see if you can get it to work. If you can, you've found the problem.

And let me know if you are as disappointed with this phone as I am...

File names and/or formats could be the problem.
Remove all the music you uploaded,
See my sticky on Media Formats, try one track at a time.
remember, no spaces. try my samples too.

WOW. Ive got the Samsung Blackjack (i607) and I am having the same problem almost...Except i went to the Walmart Kodak Kiosk and took my card out and put it in the machine it said no files found and it also said that for 2 more sd cards that were FULL!!! The machine was messed up and it was just a coincidence that that time i took my card out it was only going to work one more time after that... The one time that it did work i accidently selected the wrong option and
took it out one more time so i could select the correct option... when i put it back in it said no card found.... MY HYPOTHESIS: coicidence (my phones only about 6 months old)

Sounds like Alice.Blue used a card reader on the PC to read the card.
