M520 Envelope Icon won't go away!

Hi all,
You guys are my only hope! I just got the M520, and I set it up to check my Gmail account... it shows the envelope icon when I get an email, but the damn thing won't go away (even after I read the message) unless I reset my phone. Any idea what I could do to get it to go away? I tried checking the settings on Sprint's email application, but nada...

I actually figured it out... when you get an email, it doesn't put the message in the "Missed Alerts" where you would think it would be, it's in My Content/Application Manager.

I hope maybe they can fix that with a firmware upgrade or something... annoying.
