Why does my phone say invalid file type whenever I transfer a ringtone to it?

Ok, I have a samsung sgh - t329 and I had to buy a usb cable cause I guess I don't have access to the internet feature on it. I just got the cable and now when I try to transfer the files using the phone explorer that the cd installed, it says the file types are invalid. I got this (pu651d19.dm) ringtone from ventones and this (Go+Go+Power+Rangers.m4r) ringtone from myxer tones. Neither of them are considered valid. Help? Different program to use or what?
