Three Uk on a Carphone Warehouse's phone (Samsung Jet)

I went today to buy a Samsung Jet at Carphone warehouse, but they advised against buying it as, even if it could work at the beginning with the 3 SIM, the Sim would not recognize it as a Three Network phone, so it would send a "feedback" to three that would block the sim on that phone (hope not the phone!)
Have anyone personal experience or any friend that is using a three sim on that phone bought at CPW?
