Recovering pictures (mounting phone as drive)

I had an older samsung and when i deleted my pictures i was able to use a data recovery software to undelete them, on my newer samsung sgh-a867 when i plug it in i can select mass storage which is the memory card but i don't have one, or pc studio which connects to the software, but the data recovery software does not see the phone as a disk so it can't scan it.. any suggestions how to recover my pictures? thanks guys

im just wondering, do you have the mobile suite apps installed in your pc? that may have conflict with your ps studio..

No i don't believe i do.. i just have the new pc studio installed.. should i be using specific recovery software or would any data software work? thanks
