Samsung Captivate Glide (SGH-i927) Can't save pictures from the internet

Hello, I am having trouble saving pictures from the internet to my phone. I have never had this problem before. It just started today. I use to be able to search Google and hit images, click on the image, and there would be a spot at the right hand top of the page that said "view full image".I would click on that and when the image came up hold my finger on the picture, and a menu would come up with an option that said "save image". Now all there is is an X at the top of the page, and when I hold my finger on the picture nothing happens. I just don't know what to do. Has anyone had this problem?

have you tried the same on different web pages? Are you getting an internet connection? (wifi or 3g)

I thought it started working again, but it's sporadic. I have both wifi, and 4G. So my connection is fine. I don't know if Google, or Samsung have had an update for this model of phone or not. I wasn't given any notifications, and it shouldn't have happened because I require it to prompt me first. I don't know it's just very frustrating. My Husband has a Samsung Galaxy 2, and nothing has happened to his. I'm at a loss. I can't find anything on the internet to tell me if there has been an update.

strange - have you tried using a different browser, like Chrome?

FYI, there is an update to Android 4.0 (ICS) available - it looks like you have to do it from here though: SAMSUNG

I'd definitely recommend a 4.0 update if you haven't already. It's generally just a lot cleaner and may speed things up a bit.

ah I just realized that you are using google image search. Google recently updated it so it may be causing some issues.

Once opening the image try long pressing on it. I think you'll get an option to save that way.
