Hey all...im new here and new to the whole downloading of ring tones to your cell phone thing. I just got a new Samsung V205 (T-Mobile), a bunch of midis, and the program Mobile Music Polyphonic (which converts midids to MML...etc). So I was just wondering if I bought the data cable for the phone (i dont have an IRA port on my comp) if i would be able to transfer the midis (or MMLs) to the phone? I just dont want to flop down $70 for something that wont do what I bought it for in the first place.

    Thanks in advance,
    Snootch

yes. you would need to convert them to mmf files.
    v205 doesn't accept midi files.

    and i wouldn't pay 70 for a cable.
    25 is more than enough.
and don't buy from ebay. rip offs.

you should change your firmware from v205 to v200. The v200 has more features on it like zoom on the camera etc.

If you need info on flashing it gimme a shout and ill see if i can find it.

the v200 firmware that everyone uses for flashing isn't that stable.
best wait a while before you do something that drastic.

data cable for v200/v205 can be obtained for $20, EasyGPRS software for free from aviworld.de or any other samsung related sites. G1 firmware for v200 can be found by doing a search on howardforums.com or aviworld.de forums. follow the instructions found on howardforums.com under samsung faqs and you should be ok. i have flashed several v200 with G1 firmware and not a single one has had problems. in my opinion G1 firmware is better and just as stable or more stable than WC3 and WC4 firmware.
