I was wondering if anyone has tried this successfully yet. If they use the futuredial crap and what software. I heard there is another software that is better to use to view the file systems and all and I have the link to it on sourceforge, but I just wanted to know if anyone else has been able to play with it and which cable they used to do it...before I give it a try -_^

I have been able to use my RL2500/SCP5400 with my USB data cable. Just install the Sanyo drivers, open a new Dial-up logon and dial #777 to use your phone as a modem.

    hey

don't use any stupid usb cable, use http://www.t1mmy.net, it allows you to upload any Midi or Jpeg file straight to your phone and download it for free instead of downloading stupid ringers from sprint for like $1.50 a piece. check it out

t1mmy is great if you only occasionally want to download files to your phone. Otherwise www.3gupload.com is the best place for downloads and has a personal locker for your files, and the USB cable is awesome for on the go 'net access.

I'm using a usb cable with one of the free applications and I am able to manage the contacts. it copies the ringtones from the handset to the pewter but not visa versa.

The product your talking about is BitPim
    http://bitpim.sourceforge.net/

It really is a great program and considering it's free, you can't lose.
All those other websites and there's more of them are good sites. Each item has a purpose. I use BitPm to backup my PhoneBook, Calendar, Ringtones, and WallPaper and/or Pictures if Picture Phone. I've retrieved my MSL with it and more. Goto the website and see if it's for you.
