Transferring Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Use the USB cable to connect your smartphone to your computer via USB
- Once the AutoPlay window appears on your computer, click to browse the device's files and folders
- Access the phone's "Internal storage" folder
- Open the "Music" and / or "Notifications" folder(s)
- Launch a second Windows Explorer window and navigate to where the audio files are stored on your computer
- Copy the files, and paste them on your phone's storage. (NOTE: past the files in the "Music" or "Notifications" folder, depending if you wish to use the audio files as ringtones and / or notification sounds etc.)
- Once the transfer is complete, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
- Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
- It's now safe to disconnect your smartphone from the computer
Changing the Phone's Ringtone:
- Ensure you have transferred the desired audio files in the "Music" folder
- While on the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Go to "Settings"
- Under "Device", tap "Sound"
- Scroll to "Ringtone & Vibration" and tap "Phone ringtone"
- Tap the "Music" icon located in the top-right corner
- Navigate to and select the audio file that you wish to use as your phone's ringtone
- Tap "Done"
Changing the Ringtone of One Contact:
- Make sure you have transferred the desired audio files in the "Music" folder
- Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
- Access the "Contacts" tab located in the top-left corner
- Select the contact that you wish to set a custom ringtone to
- Tap the "Edit contact" icon located in the upper-right area of the screen
- Tap the "Ringtone" drop-down menu
- Tap the "Music" icon located in the top-right corner of the screen
- Navigate to, and select the audio file that you wish to set as a custom ringtone
- Tap "Done", followed by "Done" again to confirm
Changing the Notifications Sound:
- Ensure that the desired custom notification sound files have been transferred in the "Notifications" folder
- Launch the apps drawer
- Tap "Settings"
- Scroll to "Device" and tap "Sound"
- Tap "Default notification sound" under "System"
- Select the file that you wish to use. NOTE: the newly transferred custom notification sounds will be shown at the bottom of the list
- Tap "Done" to confirm
