    I brought a friend to the Sprint store. So, I bring my phone in for routine looky at, it was losing signal in my home a bit nothing serious. I waited 20 minutes got my phone back, was told the contacts were cleaned, diagnostic check and upgraded it. I left, get to the next destination ask my mother to call my cell with her new number so I could store it. I store it and go to my contacts. OMG ALL my contacts were gone!!! The couldn't do a backup to retrieve my contacts.

    Explanation was in diagnostics it showed no problems but the tech read somewhere (after waiting in lobby for about 2 hours) that some of the lithium batteries in the PM-A840's have problems that don't show in diagnostics.

    I am now going to sit and here from you all if this is BS or true, if any of you know.

    Look for my next post of how Sprint rates your value of a customer but is confidential and not the customers business.

    That tech must have been a newbie..I have never heared that stupid lie in my whole life. Idiot did not backed up your contacts. PERIOD.

    No problem with the phone. Problem was with the tech.

    i will agree... i work at a repair center and i can tell you... the battery has nothing to do with the contacts
    Every body wants to bring the 80's back... thats ok with me thats where they made me at
