T-Mobile claims that I have around 15000 text messages. My bill shows that I sent 7557 and received 7113. T-Mobile claims that all of the messages came and was sent from my phone. I have a problem with that, there are Text messages coming and going when the phone is turned off. Has anyone else had this problem?

no i have never heard of this problem, you should check your bill statement (which is probably 80 pages long now) and see the numbers you "sent" them to and dispute it hardcore man, 5 cents per message adds up, especially when its up to 15000 msgs, but i'll help you out man, tell me how things go

yes! even your phone is off and somebody send a txt to you, you will recieve that when you open your phone and t-mo will charge you for that. my advise is use another phone and get prepaid. on prepaid incoming is free 10cents for outgoing txt. thats what i do. i use international txt alot and if i use my plan for txt massaging, im out of control. on prepaid your in control. the only thing is you gonna carry two phones all the time, your plan and your prepaid plan. but it save you alot of money on your plan.

Change your password and change your settings to require password to access voicemail, account access on the web, etc.

15000 text messages? That is alot, but it does not surprise me as I have seen this numerous times. I would say by the sheer number that they would be valid, simply because the way the SMS messages are reported in our billing system are not likely to have been in error 15000 times. If someone sends you a SMS message, I believe it will attempt to be sent through, even if your phone is off, for 48hrs. Once you receive it, you will be charged for it. Are you using the AIM Service, as I have seen people with as many SMS charges as you, and many times alot of the charges are related to their AIM usage.... IfA not, possibly call back and have someone file an Advanced Billing Research for you, so they further research what's going on with your SMS charges. The only other thing that I can think is if the system was possibly billing you multiple times for some of your text messages.... though that is a very rare occurence. The fact is.. if you take a look at numbers to which these SMS messages are going, and coming from... it's usually very easy to validate the charges.

I am not using AIM or any other message service. Some of the numbers are not working numbers. Yes, some the text messages are valid. I have a problem with the ones that T-MO said I sent when the phone is off.

T-Mo will not talk to me anymore. They never answer my questions. So I took it live, yes I was on the local news with my bill. I am not going to give in to them. I got my March statement and it had 6084 text messages on it and the phone has not been used, are any message service. Now this sounds like fraud to me.

If someone has your password they could send text messages when the phone is off and not being used.

Throw the phone is a trash compactor and get a prepaid phone.
If you want to text message use your computer, cellphones are for speaking.
Didn't anyone ever tell you that.
