I have T-Mobile "Pay-As-You-Go" service. I did my first Text Message today and was amazed how cheap it is. I was only charged about a dime for sending it. I'm not sure if I get a charge for reading a text message. Why is a text message so cheap compared to a regular call which I am charged 28 cents/minute?

Reciving is free for pre-paid. You cannot express yourself with a text message as you can with a phone call. =)

Receiving text is no longer free. T-mo started charging 5 cents for prepaids since mid-August. 25 cents to send/receive msg with picture and/or sound BTW.
