    Service Center only affects OUTGOING messages. It may be that your
    phone automatically rejects those that were sent from anything other
    than that SC Number, but that is not usual practice on any phone I've
    seen.

    What is the barring code ? Is it always the same, specific to an IMEI,
    specific to a network, or what ?

    The default is the same for all phones on a network, but it is
    different on each network, AFAIK.
