I (too) have just upgraded my (Orange) Samsung 110 to a V3. Nice design,
shame about the crap manual.
Could some kind soul please tell me...
- what the symbol to the right of the signal strength indicator is? Looks
like three rectangles.
- what the 'bell' symbol to the left of the battery meter is? Doesn't seem
to reflect the ring mode (eg stays there in 'silent').
- when composing a text message, is there a way to start a new line?
- ditto a way to force consecutive capital letters (it seems to think it's
clever to change to lower case after one capital letter - and I've already
managed to get rid of the stupid 'predictive text' feature).
- is there a better on-line guide than the one which comes with the phone?
-what's the little rubber plug on the back - is it an external aerial
socket?
TIA,
SteveP

Hi Steve,
I too have just got this phone. There was no manual in the box with mine so
I just downloaded it from motorolas site. Pages 34 onwards tell you each
symbol.
The symbol beside the aerial status is something to do with GPRS. Your bell
will have different symbols beside it on set ring tones, ie, zzzz for silent
etc.
I aint sure about the text msg inout as I've never tried to do it yet.
Not sure about the rubber plug
