Hello,
I am using PC Suite 6.70.22 for synchronising my contacts in Outlook
2003 with those of my Nokia 6021 phone. My problem is : in Outlook, I
have several folders in "Contacts" containing several type of contacts.
When I synchronise, only the contacts at the upper level in "Contacts"
are transferred to phone, not those contained in folders. How is it
possible to solve that problem ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

You'd have to see if your sync software supports this. It might not.
I suggest you consider using a single contacts folder, and use categories to
organize them, rather than multiple folders, anyway...you can set up custom
views/filters, etc., to make it easier to manage.

If I recollect the PC Suite allows you to select a specific Contacts Folder
in OL to sync.

Re: Nokia PC Suite and Outlook (sub-folders of Contacts)
Thanks a lot for your help !
In fact, I would prefer to put specific contacts in different folders
since Outlook allows it me. It is easier than using Categories. True
that PC Suite allows you to synchronise with a specific folder of
Contacts. However, I would like it to synchronise automatically in all
the folders with one synchronisation. Is it possible to do that ?
TIA.

Re: Nokia PC Suite and Outlook (sub-folders of Contacts)
does pc suite allow you to select more than one folder? if not, then no, you
can't sync with more than one outlook folder.

Have you tried having several top-level Contacts folders instead of
several subfolders within Contacts?
I mean this hierarchy:
Mailbox
Contacts 1
Contacts 2
Inbox
Sent Items
etc
Instead of this one:
Mailbox
Contacts
Contacts 1
Contacts 2
Inbox
Sent Items
etc
Not a clue if this will work, just a thought.

Re: Nokia PC Suite and Outlook (sub-folders of Contacts)
Thanks Dave for your idea. In fact, all Contacts folders are at the
same level than the default Contacts (no way to do differently in
Outlook 2003) :
Contacts
Contacts 1
Contacts 2
Any other idea than trying a new software ?
Thanks in advance !

Your original message made it sound like the opposite, but never mind!

I've never tried, I'm afraid, but good luck.
One question though: if you DID get this working, and you added a new
contact to your PHONE, how would the software know which of the two
contacts folders to sync with? (Maybe here's one reason why it doesn't!)
