    Hi;

    I'm recently acquired a shiny new Palm TX. Which is lovely and sexy and etc.

    I'd like to use my phone as a bluetooth modem with it; currently I've got
    a Nokia 6600, but, to cut a long story short, the firmware is broken and it
    doesn't work.

    Now, I'm long overdue an upgrade, and was wondering about the N70, as it
    seems like a logical sort of successor to the 6600. But for all my digging
    around I can't find any success stories - or otherwise - about using it as
    a modem with a TX.

    Does anyone have any related experiences? It'd be on Orange, if that makes
    any difference.

    Cheers;
    Chris

    I use a T2 and a 6230 as a modem. Works perfectly.

    Orange is definitely the provider to be on if you are using GPRS.

    I've had said TX working with a 7610, and a friend reports success with his
    6230i too. But after the dodginess with my 6600 I'd rather get positive
    confirmation first...

    That's heartening to know; the N70 is also a 3G phone - any idea whether that's
    going to be an issue?

    But not if you want a phone as the manufacturer intended.

    Hi Chris

    I'm afraid I've not got an N70 to try out, but I've managed to use my TX
    with a SE K750i, Motorola L6, and a Nokia 7600 without any problems.

    The L6 was the cheapest Bluetooth-capable handset I could find (for the
    Orange PAYG £1/day GPRS deal) - free (with 12 months free line rental
    and 200 min + 100 texts/month ).

    I wanted to make sure it was OK before buying it so I posted on the
    Brighthand forums - there's a TX one located at:

    http://discussion.brighthand.com/pal...s=&forumid=182

    Someone there may have tried the N70 and be able to confirm for you.

    Cheers

    Alan
