I have a Razr V3 on the Orange PAYG tarriff. I keep getting loads of
voicemail messages but my phone doesn't ring. I check that it was not on
silent and even phoned myself last night using my home phone and it rang OK.
But today when I was out I got another voicemail message rather then me
being able to answer it. I'm a bit new to all this so I've no idea what's
going on. So if anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

    Cheers.

    Si

Your phone is almost certainly in an area where the network is
congested. There's really not much you can do about it.

Or someone's ringing 07973100123 & sending him a message directly from their
    own Orange voicemail.

    Re: Not Receiving Calls

I have had people asking me why I'm not answering my phone so they're
ringing my number. As regards being in an area where the network is
congested kind of defeats the point in having a mobile phone in the first
place. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that you are incorrect, it's just
that I bought the phone because my Mum is ill and I needed one just in case
she had to get in touch with me but if she can't anyway what's the point?

    Oh well.

Could be the sim is on a low network priority setting, compair it with
    another
Orange phone side by side, nothing you can do about changing it's priority,
except buy another sim and hope it's on a higher one

It's the same with my Orange PAYG (an old Nokia). Sometimes I don't
discover I've had a call for several hours (even when the phone is on
the desk right beside me), and on a few occasions the delay has been
    almost 24 hours!

A right pain in the subroutines, and not good for business!
