I am going to have to upgrade my phone as the Motorola V66 that I have been
using for nearly 4 years seems to have given up. (Replaced battery; new
one often has problems charging; phone now lights up and makes noises
when power applied but no screen display and no functionality.)
I am having problems finding a phone that is as small and light as the
V66; it appears that adding functionality such as cameras and video has
made phones bigger and heavier again. The V66 is 77m x 43mm x 23mm
excluding the aerial stub. I'm not sure of the weight, but it seems
about 2/3 of the Motorola V220 which I had the chance to compare it
with recently. Similarly, phones like tha V3 Razr are thinner, but
either wider or longer or both.
I really want a phone that is that small and light, ideally clamshell
(or anything other than candybar). Unlike many, I am quite taken
with Motorola's user interface and find it much easier to use
than any Nokia, particularly for texting, but that's less important
to me. Has anyone got any suggestions or ideas on a phone that fits
the bill ?

Get another v66.
My t610 has just died on me and I am using my V66 again.
It is small and light and a phone.
What more do you need.
I do not want to get my new 7380 ruined at work.
So the V66 is great.

How about the moto pebl?

It's a little thicker than the V66, but otherwise it should do what you
want. It's certainly smaller than the V3 :-)
