Can I take my Vodafone Nokia 6680 to any Nokia Service Centre, and have it
reflashed with the original Nokia software?
I want to get the firmware updated anyway, because I have a couple of little
bugs, and the new firmware version should address this problem.
Are they all happy to do it? The phone is only 3 months old, but I'm
guessing I'll have to pay extra? If so, how much?
Will a de-brand get rid of *Everything* to do with Vodafone?
Lastly, how will this effect my warranty with Vodafone, and Nokia?
Cheers,
Matthew Long

I wish you luck in finding someone that works for such a centre and will
give you an answer on here. If anyone does, how will you check it is
correct? Maybe speak to the centre direct.
Failing the use of common sense, you could take the phone to any car boot
sale or market and pay a few pounds to have the phone debranded.

Very very doubtful. Most service centers are now set up so that the MCU,
PPM & CNT are automatically chosen with no input from the technician.

No problem with that.

No, nearly all will refuse.

Pass. I doubt you'll find a service centre willing to do the job.

It will providing that the user area is cleared and the correct PPM is
installed.

If it's done by an official NSC (although as I've said above, I doubt very
much if they'll do it) it won't affect your warranty at all.
