Just had my car delivered with a Nokia CK-7W car kit.

My Nokia 6230i tells me that the 'Enhancement is not supported'

Has anyone come accross this before, and, if so, how do I fix it?

    Cheers,

Not yet, no. Can't see it will make any difference - the car was
previously owned by a former employee and was supposedly working with no
issues with his 6230 (non 'i' version)

    V 3.72
    05-Feb-06
    RM-72

Googling brings up a whole stack of problems with the CK-7W and 6230i.

It works via Bluetooth, but obviously this stops me using it to charge
    the phone.

Sometimes reseating the connection to the cradle helps, or the spring
pins in the cradle don't fully make contact with the base of the
handset. As the cradle is just used as a passthru for connection, it's
worth trying the cable direct to the handset.

Latest is 3.80, but anything after 3.50 should be ok.

I'll give it a try tomorrow.

It's a catalogue of disasters - the car kit fitters disturbed the wiring
for the airbags, which meant a 3 week argument with VW to get them to
pick up the car and clear the fault.

Hmmmmm, I'll try the cable tomorrow, if that doesn't work I think I'll
end up taking it to a Nokia service centre for them to have a look.

My company car was fitted with a CK-7W car kit and I had Nokia 3120 issued
by my employer. I have just received a 6230i as a pressie from my wife and
found that it is fully compatable with the CK-7W (as far as I can see).

The firmware on mine is 3.80.

Can you upgrade the firmware on these phones?

Has been several reported bugs with the 6230 and 6230i and the CK7w, all due
    to firmware in the phone.

I would suggest getting the firmware updated.

In the mean time, connect the phone using bluetooth (which will work 100%)
and take out the cable from the holder and just use the holder for now to
    keep you legal while driving.

    Yup, that's what I've done.

I'll have to get down to my local Nokia service centre to have it looked
    at.
