Does anyone know what's happened to the BenQ-Siemens EF81 in the UK?
Phones 4 U have it on Vodafone contract but only for new customers. I'm
looking to upgrade my handset on an existing Vodafone contract but
neither Vodafone nor CPW (my original vendors) carry the EF81 even
though CPW had it listed in the Coming Soon section of two of their
brochures several months ago. Searching for 'ef81' on the Vodafone
website does give one hit, but it's a dead link when you click it.
As far as CPW are concerned it looks almost as though it's been dropped
in favour of the more 'feminine' (i.e. pastel shaded with a picture of a
flower!) EF61. A manager I spoke to in one of their outlets had no idea
why a phone would be listed as Coming Soon then summarily dropped.
Does anyone know of a UK supplier for this handset? I might even
consider buying one SIM Free if the price was right, then maybe pick up
an SE K800i as the free contract upgrade and flog it on eBay.
TIA
