Any people on here also members of DS?

    S-Max has posted:

"There will be a signal but on different network. All networks allow
mobile phones to make emergency calls only but no standard calls if the
phone is on a different network."

Would some kind person be able to post the truth, that they won't be
able to make emergency calls and their phones are lying to them, I
wouldn't want someone coming to any harm because they wrongly believe
that they could dial the emergency services when they have no network
    coverage of their own.

I would post myself, but DS banned me for pathetic reasons.

    Sigh...

This has been debated ad nauseum here and elsewhere, most recently here
less than 3 days ago (thread: 999/112 urban myth).

Once and for all, as far as UK networks go, no SIM, no call, emergency or
otherwise. The ability to make emergency calls with no SIM *is* part of
the GSM specifications, but no UK network has chosen to implement it.

    End of story.

    Exactly my point!

I know all that, that is why I posted and why I wanted someone to post
    on DS.

You don't need to sigh or tell me info I know.

But as I can't post to DS, I was hoping some kind soul would, as I don't
want those who read DS to rely on the info.

Should have added for Christ sake to that too.

Posting to me on here is no point, I already know all what you posted,
all I wanted was someone to post that to DS as I can't.

Try reading what I posted first.

I used to have respect for you, but with the way act like a kid when it
comes to Ron and now this, you have lost the respect I had for you.

....and notice that where you could have helped the person in question
(on DS) you haven't just bleated something I already knew and wanted
    that info put on DS.

If you couldn't help then why both posting what you did on here when I
already knew that and even posted that in the bloody post!

I was banned because someone else who had previously had my IP address
had been banned, and I don't have time to mess about going through
various proxies or leaving my connection off for over a day, just hoping
the IP will change when I switch back on.

Just sometimes when I've had little sleep fool really do annoy me.

Sorry, it was not clear to me that you wanted someone to post elsewhere
for you, I misunderstood. Having re-read your message I now see what you
meant, but IMHO you should have put the fact that you wanted someone to
post elsewhere at the start and separated from the main body of the
    message.

    > Or do you need it put more simply for you?

No need to shout or be offensive, I have apologised, unlike some who post
    here.
