My phone shattered and a friend has a brand new US Cellular SIII to give me. I have the Sprint network. Is unlocking possible?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Sprint will only activate their phones on their network, just like Verizon. US Cellular & Cricket use the SCH-R530 variant where Sprint uses the SPH-L710. Not to mention both networks use different 4g LTE frequencies, and they are both CDMA only so you can't really 'unlock' them since they're not network locked in the traditional sense to begin with.
