Virgin Mobile is a carrier that does not require any contract commitments and just last month, they introduced a not so high-end smartphone, the Motorola Triumph. It's still not know what the price will be for the Virgin Mobile Motorola Triumph, but we do have an expected launch date for the device.

The Motorola Triumph is said to become available on July 20, in which a price should be soon announced. On the day of the launch, Virgin Mobile will have some new plans. $35 per month will be the cheapest and it will get you 300 minutes with unlimited texting and data. $45 per month will get you 1200 minutes with the same unlimited texting and data and the most expensive plan will cost you $55 per month which will get you everything unlimited.

If you already have a plan with Virgin Mobile, that's fine. You can still keep your plan and upgrade to the new device, but you will have to keep your account active and to not make any plan changes.

One final note...For those who use a lot of data, Virgin Mobile will be throttling the data speeds in which plans will remain unlimited with no additional overage charge, but if you hit above 2.5 GB of traffic in a single month, Virgin Mobile will throttle your speed. Data speeds for the next month will return back to normal.

Re: Motorola Triumph launching with Virgin Mobile on July 20

Take it from some one who had the Optimus V and them bought the Motorola Triumph.

    DONT!!!!!!! buy the Triumph.

Virgin Mobile has 3 Androids. The best one with no doubts is the Optimus V. No it doesn't have the great hardware specs that the Triumph has. It doesn't need them. The Triumph is a 300.00 dollar POS and the Optimus V is a 150.00 entry level phone that works.

So be warned. Pay 150.00 for a phone that works or 300.00 for one that doesn't.
To be honest, there are some people that are getting this phone and having no problems, but there are a great many that are getting phones that are screwed up and taking them back only to get replacement phones that are just as bad or worse.
Motorola allegedly has admitted there are problems with the ROM on this phone and has said they are working (bull$h!tt caugh choke) to correct it. Everyone should stop buying this phone and force Motorola and Virgin Mobile to recall the phone until it is fixed.
First phone I got from VM was the Samsung Intercept. Intercept = POS, then I bought the OV, OV = Good phone. Then I bought the Moto Triumph Triumph = Even bigger POS than the Intercept. And for me that is hard to picture because the Intercept was a real POS.
