Downloading themes is one of the coolest ways to personlize your Pearl. Once you've found one you like, downloading to your phone is just a simple process. First, find your theme. I suggest browsing pinstack.com for free pearl themes. Themes are available over the air (ota) or through zip file. OTA is done through your phone's browser. I prefer zip files. Once you are at a website, and choose a theme, click the zip file link. Save to a specific location on your computer because you will have to access it soon. Once the file is saved, un zip it. Right click the file and choose extract all. This is for windows, forgive the microsoft junkie. Then open your blackberry desktop manager (phone must be linked via usb) and click on application loader. Follow the prompts untill you get to add programs. Scroll down and click browse, I think it's browse. But anyway, find the file where you've unzipped your theme. Double click the .axl file and it will appear on the menu of information to send to your device. Click finish and a few seconds, your theme will be on your phone. There are many websites with much more exact instructions. just keep surfing.

thank you very much for helping me with that small problem i can say im very illerterate when it comes to those things. But i heard you can change the color of you keys at least the back lighting of them. How do you do that? Then most themes are like wall paper, but what i want is something i can have some of my icons on the side and some on the bottom. How would i find that?

I completely understand where you're coming from on the icons. As far as changing the colors of the key pad, I haven't come across anything like that, but I'll keep my eyes open. When I first started downloading themes, icons were the first things I wanted to change. After alot (seriously, alot) of surfing, I came across a few good ones. I'm rocking a version of the iphone theme on my pearl right now. My best advice is to sift through all the pages. Search through forums, too, not just available themes from whichever website you're visiting. If you're really still not able to find what ou want, there is always the option of creating your own. Most of the themes that are downloaded were created by someone just like us, in want but unable to find. The best theme builder for pearl is plazmic. There's an entire instruction forum in pinstack. I've been pretty lucky finding some pretty unique themes. Good luck try pinstack.com, search for "themes for pearl" should be the first nonsponsored link on the list.
