Hi,
I'm looking into getting my first phone and I had a few questions.

Basically, the idea of paying $30+ a month for cell service just makes me sick.

What I want to do is stick a prepaid T-mobile sim card in and use that when I am on cellular networks and just be abrupt and brief in my conversations.

Then when I am connected to a public wi-fi network (college, home) I want to use a cheap VOIP service like skype over the wifi network to make essentially unlimited dirt cheap calls for any amount of time.

Can you tell me if this is possible?

Can you tell me what phone I would want to do this (I'm not sure it's a blackberry)? The blackberry 8820 looks like the best option to me but I don't really know anything.

If it is possible, will I need a VOIP number and a cell network number or can I make them the same number somehow?

Thanks, sorry if I posted this in the wrong area.
