I'm not sure whether to get a skin for my Blackberry Bold or a pocket. If I was to get the skin it might scratch the back because of the grit that gets caught but it's more convenient then a pocket. What are your views?

I would suggest using a holster and a screen protector. For ultimate protection you can also look into getting an otter box for your bold. They make it for both the 9000 and 9700. You will still probably need to use a screen protector, and it's a little bulky but it does a great job protecting against scratches and drops etc...

I use a GadgetShieldz skin on my BlackBerry. It's great so far, I've had it for a while and I haven't noticed any scratches or problems, even after I dropped it on the sidewalk once or twice.. and for only $7 I wouldn't mind replacing it every now and then.

Forget the holster and screen protector man. Just go with a basic skin that you can fine at our local electronics store. Don't pay any more than $10.00 for it.
