Hi I have a blackberry and have a data plan

I have sprint and signed a data plan a year ago and got a blackberry the purple one anyways fast forward a year later I was laid off and wanted to switched to a cheap plan the 29 basic plan but was told bc I have blackberry I have to have the 100 dollar plan no IF about it. I asked if they can just block data from my phone and call it a day said they could but won't says I need a whole new phone to have the cheapie plan well I'm broke hince the laid off part anyways my question is there a way I can block or trick my phone to not have data so when I call I can say it's. Reg phone not a blackberry any help will be good yes sprint ppl are rude and won't help and I can't break my contract yet. I just want the 29 plan with using my blackberry I don't care about data nothing just don't want to buy a new phone when I have a good working phone

I don't think it is possible. This is actually the major disadvantage of getting plans from carriers and it's what made me decide to opt for factory unlocked phones from timtechs instead, my last one is the iPhone 4. At least I can go for PAYG and switch carriers whenever I want
