BlackBerry Hub Settings
Setting an Out-of-Office Reply:
- Access the "BlackBerry Hub"
- Tap the "More options" icon depicting three vertical dots, and tap "Settings"
- Tap "Email accounts" and select an email account
- Set the "Out of Office Reply" switch "On"
- Type a message in the field
Adding a Signature to an Email Account:
- In the "BlackBerry Hub", tap the "More options" icon
- Tap "Settings" > "Email Accounts"
- Select the desired email account
- Tap the switch associated with "Auto Signature" to turn on the feature
- Type in your signature in the appropriate field
Changing Your Default Email Address or Calendar:
- While on the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen
- Tap "Settings" > "Accounts"
- Press the icon depicting a checkmark on a drawer
- Follow one of the following steps:
- To change the default email account, tap the "Email Address" drop-down menu and select the desired account
- To change the default calendar, select the desired calendar in the "Calendar" drop-down list
Changing How Messages are shown in BlackBerry Hub:
- Access the "BlackBerry Hub"
- Tap the "More options" icon, tap "Settings" and press "Display and Actions"
- Change your settings
Viewing Conversation Threads Instead of Single Messages:
- Access the "BlackBerry Hub"
- Tap the "More options" icon
- Tap "Settings" > "Display and Actions"
- In the "Display Style" drop-down menu, select "Conversation"
Stop Showing Sent or Filed Messages in the BlackBerry Hub:
- Access the BlackBerry Hub and press the "More options" icon
- Tap "Settings" > "Display and Actions"
- Perform one of the following steps:
- To stop showing filed messages, turn the "Show Filed Messages" switch off
- To stop showing sent messages, turn the "Show Sent Messages" switch off
Color Coding Your Email Accounts:
- In the "BlackBerry Hub", tap the "More options" icon
- Tap "Settings" and then tap "Email Accounts"
- Select an email account
- Tap the "Account Color" drop-down menu and select the desired color
Changing the Accounts That Show Up in the BlackBerry Hub:
- In BlackBerry Hub, tap "More options" > "Settings"
- Tap "Hub Management"
- Tap the switch next to the desired accounts to turn them on or off
Changing Options for Sending and Receiving Messages:
- Access the "BlackBerry Hub"
- Tap the "More options"
- Tap "Settings" > "Text Messages"
- Perform one of the following options:
- To receive a delivery or read notification for your messages, tap "SMS" or "MMS". Set the "Confirm Delivery" or "Confirm Read" switch to "On"
- To allow other devices to see when you received or read a text message with an attachment, tap the "MMS" tab. Set the "Allow Delivery Confirmation" or "Allow Read Confirmation" switch to "On".
- To block unwanted MMS messages, tap the "MMS" tab. Set the "Reject Anonymous Messages" or "Reject Advertisements" switches to "On"
- To stop receiving MMS messages while you roam, tap the "MMS" tab. In the "Auto Retrieval Mode" drop-down menu, select "Home Only"
Changing Advanced Settings for Text Messages:
- In "BlackBerry Hub" tap the "More options" icon
- Tap "Settings" > "Text Messages" and tap the icon depicting two sliders
- Perform the necessary changes
- Tap "Save"
Updating Your Facebook, Twitter and/ or LinkedIn Status via the BlackBerry Hub:
- In the "BlackBerry Hub", tap the "message" icon
- Select "Facebook", "Twitter" or "LinkedIn"
- Tap the icon depicting a sheet of paper
- Type your status and then tap "Post", "Tweet" or "Send"
BlackBerry Hub Tips
Peek at BlackBerry Hub Messages From Anywhere:
- From the bottom of the screen, slide your finger up slightly.
- After the current view shrinks to show your notifications, slide your finger to the right to peek at the "BlackBerry Hub"
- To fully access the "BlackBerry Hub", continue sliding your finger to the right
- To return to your previous activity, slide your finger back to the left and down
Jumping to the Next or Previous Message:
- While in a message, slide your finger slightly from the left edge of the message to the right
- Slide your finger up or down to highlight the next or previous message in the list
- To open a highlighted message, release your finger
