Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen using two fingers
  2. Tap the “Battery Saver” tile to turn the mode ON
  3. To change Battery Saver options, first go to “Settings
  4. Then tap “Battery” > “Battery saver
  5. Tap “Turn on automatically” and select a battery percentage

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By disabling connectivity features when unused, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, and Bluetooth, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down using two fingers
  2. Go to “Settings
  3. Tap “More” under “Wireless & networks
  4. Turn on “Airplane mode
  5. To disable Wi-Fi, tap the Wi-Fi switch to OFF
  6. To disable hotspot, go to “Tethering & portable hotspot” and turn the option OFF
  7. To disable Bluetooth, go to the main “Settings” screen and tap the “Bluetooth” switch

Forget Wi-Fi Networks:

NOTE: By forgetting saved Wi-Fi networks that are no longer in use (especially networks using hidden SSID) you might improve battery life in the long run. To do this:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Tap “Wi-Fi” and enable the option if necessary
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Saved networks
  4. Select the desired network
  5. Tap “Forget

Change GPS Settings:

  1. To turn off Location (GPS), first go to “Settings
  2. Scroll to and tap “Location
  3. Tap the Location switch to “OFF
