Turn On Battery Saving Mode:
- Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen using two fingers
- Tap the “Battery Saver” tile to turn the mode ON
- To change Battery Saver options, first go to “Settings”
- Then tap “Battery” > “Battery saver”
- Tap “Turn on automatically” and select a battery percentage
Disable Unused Connectivity Features:
NOTE: By disabling connectivity features when unused, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, and Bluetooth, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down using two fingers
- Go to “Settings”
- Tap “More” under “Wireless & networks”
- Turn on “Airplane mode”
- To disable Wi-Fi, tap the Wi-Fi switch to OFF
- To disable hotspot, go to “Tethering & portable hotspot” and turn the option OFF
- To disable Bluetooth, go to the main “Settings” screen and tap the “Bluetooth” switch
Forget Wi-Fi Networks:
NOTE: By forgetting saved Wi-Fi networks that are no longer in use (especially networks using hidden SSID) you might improve battery life in the long run. To do this:
- Open “Settings”
- Tap “Wi-Fi” and enable the option if necessary
- Tap “Menu” > “Saved networks”
- Select the desired network
- Tap “Forget”
Change GPS Settings:
- To turn off Location (GPS), first go to “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Location”
- Tap the Location switch to “OFF”
