Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down using two fingers
- Tap the “Battery Saver” quick toggle to enable the feature
- For additional options, open “Settings”
- Tap “Battery” > “Battery saver”
- Tap “Turn on automatically” and select a battery percentage
Disable Unused Connectivity Features:
NOTE: By disabling your phone’s connectivity features when not in use, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Hotspot, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen using two fingers
- Open “Settings”
- Under “Wireless & Networks”, tap “More”
- Tap the “Wi-Fi” switch OFF
- To disable Hotspot, tap “Tethering & portable hotspot” and set the switch OFF
- To disable Bluetooth, tap the “Bluetooth” switch
NOTE: Alternatively you can enable “Airplane mode” to disable all connectivity features.
Change GPS Settings:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Location”
- Tap the “Location” switch to disable GPS
Forget Wi-Fi Networks:
NOTE: By forgetting saved Wi-Fi passwords for networks you may not use, you can improve battery life in the long run as you can prevent your device from scanning networks unnecessarily.
- Open “Settings”
- Tap “Wi-Fi” and enable the feature if necessary
- Tap “Menu” > “Saved networks”
- Select the desired network and tap “Forget”
