Ouch!. Yeah I like using mp3 ring tones. So I usually just transfer the files with the data cable. What if you accidentally hit the browser and it connects and then you disconnect right away. Will they charge just by loading say the welcome screen?

[COLOR=DarkOrange][FONT=Arial] rogers is a rip off....... they get you with big bills this way: when you access the internet through your phone it loads to "GOROGERS".COM that is there main page this page is 69 kb so you pay for that everytime you access the web, this page is useless because it is loaded with useless info such as "get chattin, get ringtones, get videos" to do a search you have to download yet another page and pay for it. and so on and so on. I had a huge fight with rogers over a $800 data charge for one month, here is the fine print "TWO MONTHS FREE BROWSER SERVICE" when you sign up for mobile browser, however they forget to tell you its to a max of 2mb a month . After that they charge you for every bite at .05 cents. HERE IS THE GOLDEN FEATHER FOR EVERYONE WHO TAKE ON THIS NEW SERVICE: If you get screwed over with a large bill for your free months call customer service, and complain about the fact that NO WHERE on the web site for rogers mobile internet does it say there is a max on the kb surfed during the free months. That kind of had them by surprize they did not like it when they logged on and checked it out for themselves, they hate to be wrong. Now rogers can rebate you up to 75% after 45 minutes of heated discussions, they finally agreed to a credit of my account of $380.00. CHECK OUT THIS FINE DETAIL AND SAVE SOME BUCKS

1...well that's not fair. They don't "get" you...they just charge you.
    2...change your homepage.
3...I didn't know that it's maxed at 2mb. I was always offered which tier I wanted to try it at. 2mb5mbor12mb. I ALWAYS choose 12mb. That was 18months ago and ~10months ago...maybe now they don't give that option? Have you ever asked for it?

Yes, good point that it's not mentioned anywhere. and yes, be PATIENT, RESPECTFUL, AND TACTFUL. They will given your persistence, and determination, give you some compensation as a "special one-time exception".

Good luck all...and excercise due diligence, whenever you're using a new service. It is your responsibility to ensure you know what the scoop is. Ignorance is not an excuse!
